Payment & Refund Policy

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Bank Transfers
  • Cash (in-person payments only)
  • PayPal

Payment Schedule

For course packages:

  • A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking
  • The remaining balance must be paid before the first lesson
  • Payment plans are available upon request (subject to approval)

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made 7+ days before the first scheduled lesson: Full refund minus a $50 administrative fee
  • Cancellations made 3-6 days before the first scheduled lesson: 75% refund
  • Cancellations made 48 hours before the first scheduled lesson: 50% refund
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the first scheduled lesson: No refund

Note: Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@chkenrood.click. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval.

Cancellation Policy

Lesson Cancellations by Students

We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy for individual lessons is as follows:

  • Cancellations made 48+ hours before the scheduled lesson: No charge, lesson can be rescheduled
  • Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the scheduled lesson: 50% of lesson fee charged
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson: Full lesson fee charged
  • No-shows without notification: Full lesson fee charged and may affect future booking priority

Cancellations Due to Illness

If you are ill, please contact us as soon as possible:

  • With doctor's note: No charge for cancellation, lesson will be rescheduled
  • Without doctor's note: Standard cancellation policy applies

Cancellations by ChkenRood Driving Academy

In the rare event that we need to cancel a lesson:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible
  • Your lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost
  • If we cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you'll receive a 10% discount on your next lesson

Lesson Policy

Lesson Duration

Standard driving lessons are 45 minutes of in-car instruction plus 15 minutes for discussion, feedback, and planning. Total appointment time: 60 minutes.

Being Prepared for Lessons

Students must:

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled lesson time
  • Bring a valid learner's permit or license to every lesson
  • Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (no flip-flops or high heels)
  • Be well-rested and alert (not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that cause drowsiness)

Late Arrival Policy

  • If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time
  • No refunds or time extensions will be provided for late arrivals
  • If a student is more than 15 minutes late, it may be treated as a no-show

Lesson Scheduling

We recommend:

  • 1-2 lessons per week for optimal learning and skill retention
  • Scheduling lessons at different times of day to experience various traffic conditions
  • Booking lessons at least 7 days in advance to secure your preferred time slots

Note: Instructors reserve the right to cancel a lesson if a student appears unfit to drive due to illness, fatigue, or being under the influence of substances that could impair driving ability.

Safety Guidelines

Our Commitment to Safety

Safety is our top priority at ChkenRood Driving Academy. All our vehicles are:

  • Equipped with dual controls for instructor intervention if needed
  • Regularly maintained and inspected for safety
  • Cleaned and sanitized between lessons
  • Equipped with first aid kits and emergency supplies

Student Safety Requirements

During lessons, students must:

  • Always wear a seatbelt
  • Follow instructor directions promptly, especially regarding safety
  • Maintain focus and avoid distractions (no mobile phone use while driving)
  • Inform the instructor immediately of any health conditions that may affect driving

Weather Conditions

Lessons may be rescheduled in the following conditions:

  • Severe weather warnings or advisories
  • Heavy snow, ice, flooding, or fog that significantly reduces visibility
  • Extreme heat or cold that could affect vehicle operation

The instructor has final authority on whether conditions are safe for driving instruction.

Important: If you feel unsafe at any point during a lesson, please communicate this to your instructor immediately. Your safety and comfort are our highest priorities.

Student Conduct

Expected Behavior

We expect all students to:

  • Treat instructors and staff with respect and courtesy
  • Follow all instructions provided by the instructor
  • Maintain appropriate behavior during lessons
  • Communicate openly about concerns or questions
  • Be honest about driving experience and skill level

Prohibited Behaviors

The following behaviors are not tolerated:

  • Aggressive, abusive, or disrespectful behavior toward instructors or staff
  • Deliberately ignoring safety instructions
  • Attending lessons under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Damaging academy vehicles or property
  • Using mobile phones while driving (except in emergencies)

Consequences for Policy Violations

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, consequences may include:

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning
  • Temporary suspension from lessons
  • Termination of training agreement (without refund)

By booking lessons with ChkenRood Driving Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Services Provided

ChkenRood Driving Academy provides:

  • Professional driving instruction by certified instructors
  • Use of academy vehicles for lessons
  • Structured learning programs based on proven teaching methods
  • Progress tracking and regular feedback

Limitations of Liability

While we strive for excellence in our instruction:

  • We cannot guarantee that students will pass their driving test
  • We are not liable for any driving infractions or accidents that occur after completion of our courses
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who presents a safety risk

Complaints Procedure

If you have concerns about our service:

  1. First, discuss your concerns with your instructor

Frequently Asked Questions

What age do I need to be to start driving lessons?

You must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid learner's permit to begin driving lessons with us.

How many lessons will I need before taking my driving test?

This varies greatly depending on individual learning pace, previous experience, and natural aptitude. On average, most students require 20-30 hours of professional instruction before being test-ready. Your instructor will provide regular feedback on your progress and advise when you're ready for the test.

Can I use your vehicles for my driving test?

Yes, our Premium Package includes the use of our vehicle for your driving test. If you've chosen another package, you can add the test day vehicle rental for an additional fee of $99.

What happens if I fail my driving test?

If you don't pass your test, we offer a special "Test Retake Package" that includes two additional lessons focused specifically on the areas that need improvement, plus the use of our vehicle for your next test. This package is available at a reduced rate of $199.

Can I request a specific instructor?

Yes, you can request a specific instructor when booking your lessons, subject to their availability. We recommend staying with the same instructor throughout your learning journey for consistency in teaching methods and feedback.

Do you offer pick-up and drop-off services?

Yes, we offer pick-up and drop-off services within a 10-mile radius of our main office at no additional charge. For locations outside this range, a small fee may apply. Pick-up/drop-off locations must be the same for each lesson.
